Triage Bar Skin Cleanser
For oily skin - The Triage Bar utilizes glucose polymers (derived from sugars), to gently cleanse without removing the sugar substrate that gives the epidermis its formidable barrier properties. This makes it a more "intelligent" cleanser. Sugar metabolizes in the skin to creates a compound called glycogen. Glycogen is the main source of energy for the growth and maintenance of every aspect of the healthy epidermis. It is the energy source for wound healing, free radical scavenging, and synthesis of cell-to-cell connections, enzyme synthesis, recovery from any physical stress or challenge, and all manner of immune reflex. When the skins sugar structures (glycolipids and glycoproteins) become clogged with dirt or metabolic waste, the skins ability to synthesize and utilize glycogen declines and the barrier function of the stratum corneum collapses.
